The most notable exchange came near the end of Thursday’s joint practice when Carolina quarterback Cam Newton had a quick conversation with Miami defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Here’s the tail end of it:
As Suh jogs back to his sideline, Newton asks the richest defensive player in NFL history: “Who’s got it better than you right now? Highest paid, Miami, hot chicks.”
It’s a valid question.
“Life is good for me? I don’t know about that (laughing). I’m definitely happy about my life, but there’s more to accomplish,” Suh said.
After Newton’s “Donkey Kong Suh” joke last year fell flat and made some sound even more ridiculous, it was good to see the two stars have a light moment. Even if it was mostly one-sided.
“Did I expect the chatter? No” Suh said. “He just came up to me, so it was a good conversation and left it at that.”
