“His efficiency and his ability to find any receiver that’s open, and his accuracy with the ball. He can knock a fly off a shoulder with the ball if he had to.”

“Every week from the point on, I feel like we’re going to get another addition to our team. Slowly but surely we’re going to have 100 percent enrollment of our football team.”

Davis: “You really can’t hit people like that in the league anymore; you get fined for it. But it was a running back, and it was face to face, so it was a legal hit. It really took me back to the college days when hits like that were allowed.”

Norman: “The crowd was like, ‘ooh!’ I had to come all the way from the other side of the field to give him some man love. Tap him on the head, I was excited. That’s our captain. He made a big play, a big stick, and it just created a buzz in every one of us.”

Boston: “I felt like I let my team down. I’m really thankful for the guys because a lot of guys came to me and let me know, ‘Besides that one play, you played an awesome game.’ Even coach came over to me — the first person to come over — he told me this wasn’t the first time I’ll get beat, and it won’t be the last time.”

Rivera: “He opened his hips a little bit; drop-stepped and created a little bit of space between him and the tight end. What you’d like him to do is shuffle his feet, move sideways, engage, take the air out of his coverage, and he’d have been there. But he’s a young guy, he’s learning. He didn’t have the benefit of training camp, so I think that kind of hampered him.”

“It’s been a crazy ride. I wouldn’t change anything. I’m really happy to be here, I want to play football, I want to get on the field and try to make a difference.”

“I was kind of hoping to have a bye right about now, but we don’t. We don’t have a bye for about three more weeks. So this mini bye is going to be good for us. We’ll play Thursday night; then we’ll have some time off, hopefully, get some guys healed up and get those guys back.”
