Defensive end Kony Ealy is in a walking boot after he had his foot rolled up on during the Panthers preseason opener Friday night. He has soreness in his left foot, and it’s likely the rookie will miss at least a couple days of practice.

Ealy had a solid game against the Bills, making three tackles, including one for a loss. There is hope he will be recovered in time to play in Carolina’s second preseason game, next Sunday against Kansas City.
