There have been some serious topics to digest in the days leading up to Sunday's NFC Championship.

It started Monday with breathless coverage of a hoverboard ban. Two days later came 'Creedbombing.' Now comes news of a cow named after one of the Panthers.

How did a calf end up with the same name as Carolina's top cornerback?

According to WNCT, the CBS affiliate in Greenville, N.C., Josh Norman the cow was born at Simply Natural Creamery last week. When one of the station's reporters went to the dairy farm Wednesday for a story, she met the still nameless baby. The reporter, apparently fired up about the playoff push, suggested naming it after a Panthers' player.

Calves at the farm traditionally share their mother's first initial. Since this guy's mom was named Jenny, he became Josh.
