INJURY UPDATES

Because of their first-round bye, the Carolina Panthers don’t have to release an injury report this week, but a few key guys appear on track for the Divisional Round Game.

“It was good to see a lot of those guys who missed last week back out on the field,” coach Ron Rivera said after Wednesday’s practice.

Running back Jonathan Stewart didn’t participate in drills, but he did work on the side for the first time since he sprained his foot in Week 14.

Wide receiver Ted Ginn joined Stewart and later said he could have played on his sore knee last week if he had to.

Safety Kurt Coleman, who also missed the season finale as a precaution, looked good while testing out his sprained foot in team drills.

The only guy who wasn’t out there was Fozzy Whittaker. But the running back, who suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 16, was expected to get out of his walking boot Wednesday.
