As soon as Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton walked off the podium after Super Bowl 50, it was obvious it would be a thing. More than six weeks later, it still is.

Reporters could have asked coach Ron Rivera anything during his hour-long media availability Wednesday at the NFL meetings in Boca Raton. But the headlines coming out of that had little to do with football and much to do with Newton's post-Super Bowl actions.
