The Panthers:

  • Have scored 10 or fewer points in consecutive weeks for the first time since the final two weeks of the 2010 season.
  • Have scored just one touchdown in their last 121 minutes and 24 seconds.
  • Picked up more than half of their net passing yards (122) on just two plays: WR Jerricho Cotchery’s 47-yard catch and RB DeAngelo Williams’ 30-yard reception.
  • Allowed the Saints to convert five of their seven third-down attempts in the second half. The Saints were two-for-six on third down in the first half.

The Saints:

  • Won on the road for the first time in eight games.

Panthers:

  • Head coach Ron Rivera is now 28-28-1.
  • QB Cam Newton set career lows in completions (10), completion percentage (35.7) and passer rating (39.4). He has completed just 54 percent of his passes since Week 5 (87-for-162).
  • WR Kelvin Benjamin has caught just 34 of his 70 targets since Week 1.
  • WR Brenton Bersin, who had at least one catch in Weeks 2-7, has not had a reception in consecutive games.
  • WR Jerricho Cotchery had a 47-yard reception, his longest since he had a 49-yarder for the Jets on 10/31/10.
  • TE Greg Olsen has four catches on seven targets the last two weeks, his fewest for each since the last two weeks of the 2011 season.
  • DE Charles Johnson had a sack for the fourth time in his last five games.
  • DT Dwan Edwards picked off his third career interception.
  • CB Josh Norman had six tackles, the second most of his career.
  • S Colin Jones had his first career sack.
  • S Thomas DeCoud, who was inactive with a hamstring injury, missed just his second game since 2009.

Saints:

  • QB Drew Brees has thrown for 1,395 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions in his last six games against the Panthers.
  • RB Mark Ingram had a career-high 30 rushing attempts. His 100 yards were the third-most of his career, and it was his second two-touchdown game.
  • TE Jimmy Graham, who caught all seven of his targets, has scored a touchdown in his last six games against the Panthers.
