Would you pay $500 for a pair of cleats?

The answer was 'yes' for 50 people who snagged Under Armour's gold tribute to newly christened NFL MVP Cam Newton.

From the time they went on sale late Saturday night, it took only a couple hours for the cleats to sell out. While $500 seems – OK, is – super pricey for shoes, they were at least autographed. Plus, half the proceeds will go to The Cam Newton Foundation.

If you missed out on the $500 sale, Under Armour says unsigned cleats are coming soon. They've also released a couple new T-shirts celebrating the first Carolina Panthers' player to win MVP.
