Construction workers have been busy at Bank of America Stadium the past few months, but this offseason’s changes aren’t as massive as last year’s. The second stage of the team’s five-year renovation plan has included luxury suite makeovers and an antenna system overhaul designed to enhance cellphone connections. While most improvements won’t be obvious to the majority of fans, there will be a couple hard-to-miss additions on the outside. New marbleized versions of a letter from Panthers owner Jerry Richardson have been placed near two entrances.
“This stadium is dedicated to believers. Those who had hope in the spirit of our Carolinas, trust in a promise, and faith in the unseen. For all who dared dream, and their children who will share a great legacy, we dedicate this symbol of unity.” – Jerome J. Richardson
The East Gate has featured the 19-year-old quote for years, but now fans entering the South and North Gates will see a copy. The one at the Morehead entrance is a small sign while a couple more adorn new benches on the corner of Mint and Graham.
