The final numbers are in.
According to the Spartanburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, 135,371 fans attended Carolina Panthers' training camp the past two and a half weeks, a tally that nearly doubled the team's record. That was set last summer when 77,625 fans showed up in Spartanburg.
To put the total from this year's 14 practices in perspective, it's nearly as many people that came to camp from 2005-2010. The combined attendance from those six years immediately preceding the Cam Newton era was 136,176.
