Anything you get on the third day is a bonus.”[/pullquote]In his first two drafts as Carolina’s general manager, Dave Gettleman had five picks in the first three rounds: DT Star Lotulelei (1st, 2013), DT Kawann Short (2nd, 2013), WR Kelvin Benjamin (1st, 2014), DE Kony Ealy (2nd, 2014) and G Trai Turner (3rd, 2014). Lotulelei, Benjamin, and Turner earned starting roles their rookie seasons while Short and Ealy each played a significant number of snaps.As we continue looking ahead to the draft, it’s also interesting to look back.
