BBR Podcast Episode 2: ESPN College Football Insider Travis Haney

H e’s not a guru. Or a ninja. Or any other buzzword people call themselves these days. ESPN’s Travis Haney is just really knowledgeable about college football.

There’s certainly a place for the folks who lock themselves in a room to watch film, but that’s just one layer of this wild world where so many try to predict how a young adult will perform as a professional.

Haney travels the country for months, attending countless practices and games. He talks to coaches, scouts and players at all levels. He isn’t going to pretend he knows what’s going to happen. The best he can do is form an educated opinion, because unless any of us can truly see into the future, an educated opinion based on proper reporting is the best we can do.

I’m thrilled we were able to get him onto a BBR Podcast just ahead of the NFL Draft. From what the Panthers may or may not do to the hot-button topics like Clowney/Johnny/Sam, I think you’re really going to enjoy this.

As always, feel free to shoot us a tweet or leave a comment below with any comments or questions.

@StevenFeezor as we talk about at the end, we may be arguing against where everything is going, but hopefully at least some will want to do things as smart as possible.
