Nicks That Happened During Friday Night’s Game

CB Charles Tillman: Was seen throwing up on the sideline during the first half. Returned for a few more plays and then headed to the locker room before halftime. Afterward, coach Ron Rivera said Tillman “lost his wind,” but according to the team, it was a head injury.

WR Jerricho Cotchery: Tweaked his groin late in the first half. Cotchery isn’t the most dynamic weapon on the Panthers’ offense, but as the most dependable of the wideouts, Carolina can’t afford to lose him for a significant period right now.

C Brian Folkerts: Rolled his ankle in the first half, which may have affected his performance while starting for the injured Ryan Kalil.

LB Luke Kuechly: Appeared to tweak something on his left leg late in the second quarter. Came to the sideline for one play before returning to finish the half, so it’s likely not serious.

“They are very close. In fact, they came out and ran before the game and of course they tell you that if they had to they could play. I say, yeah, ok right. It was good to see them out there working, running the way that they did. It’s one of those things that once we get to Sunday’s practice we are going to add on a few more guys. We will have Charles Johnson out there. We will have Kawann Short out there. We will have Devin Funchess out there. So I’m excited about that.”
