Panthers Running Backs Open Club Shiznit

Somewhere in the San Jose Marriott, perhaps down the hall from Thieves Ave., there's a hot new club.

"It's called Club Shiznit," says fullback Mike Tolbert.

You don't need the Urban Dictionary to figure out the slang, but if the Carolina Panthers are doing any type of partying this week, Club Shiznit is the safest place.

"There's no alcohol, no nothing. No women, it's only us," Tolbert explains.

Anyone with a Panthers' player ID is allowed in the club, which was created when Tolbert and running back Fozzy Whittaker opened the doors of their adjoined rooms to create a suite. But it's mostly reserved for the running backs.

"We've been playing music, laughing and joking," says Tolbert, who's also stayed on as the team's DJ.

"We're having a good time playing cards, playing video games and just enjoying being at the Super Bowl."

As much as he trusts his guys, coach Ron Rivera hopes they don't enjoy Tuesday too much. It's their off night, and Rivera admitted he's "holding his breath" that everyone makes it back by curfew. He said that was midnight, but apparently, there are after hours at Club Shiznit.

"No, it doesn't close at midnight," says Tolbert. "It doesn't close till it's time for the real curfew."
