Panthers After Preseason Opener: Who's Up, Who's Down

RB KENJON BARNER: The weight he put on this summer didn’t appear to help much, but his line didn’t either.
RB DARRIN REAVES: Backed up his solid training camp with some tough runs, highlighted by a tackle-breaking touchdown.
WR PHILLY BROWN: Helped his case with a few receptions and a big stick on punt coverage.
WR TAVARRES KING: Continues to inch closer from off the bubble to on the roster.
WR MARCUS LUCAS: Argument to go from undrafted rookie to 53-man-roster took a hit when drop led to Buffalo’s game-cliching interception.
TE BRANDON WILLIAMS: Played most snaps, tied for team-high in receiving yards, scored first touchdown since 2009.
TE MIKE MCNEILL: Hasn’t stood out this summer, and a knee sprain could further hurt chances.
DE KONY EALY: Active preseason debut, but may miss some time with a foot injury.
CB JOSH NORMAN: Stop us if you’ve heard this before …

I think it is time to end the Kenjon Barner experiment. We can't afford another Armanti Edwards type experiment. What do y'all think of Brenton Bersin's chances are of making the roster?

Marcus Lucas will be fine. He probably will no make the 53, but I think he should get a little more polishing, I believe the error was just the case of him trying to do too much. I'll wait to the end of preseason to see where he ends up. I hope he can slide in on the 53. That is if we are sure on everything else, if not put him on practice squad.

Barner had one good run and then reverted back to his old self. What fired me up most was the punt return when he danced around instead of trying to get 5 or 6 yards. I hope he is looking over his shoulder because Reaves is coming on fast.

I would give Lucas a mulligan because it was his first pre-season game and he will improve.

Godfrey doesn't have it anymore. However I though that pick was offensive pass interference. He basically blocked Godfrey out of the play.
