Monday’s injury updates from Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.
LB Luke Kuechly
“He’s moving up in the protocol and hopefully we’ll have good news tomorrow.” Kuechly still has to be cleared from an independent neurologist, which Rivera hopes could happen Tuesday. “We’re pretty encouraged, but again, we do have to approach this cautiously because it is up to the independent now.”
DE Charles Johnson
“He most certainly is going to be out this week.” Johnson’s hamstring injury looked like it could keep him out for multiple games.
LB Thomas Davis
Suffered a pec injury that forced him to watch most of the fourth quarter. He “might” have undergone an MRI on Monday.
RB Jonathan Stewart
“Took a shot” on the back of his leg in Sunday’s second half, but Rivera has no concerns about his status for the Bucs.
WR Jerricho Cotchery
The high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 2 will “probably” keep him out through the Panthers’ Week 5 bye.
