NASCAR Drivers Not Happy with Luke Kuechly’s Speed

Luke Kuechly is apparently a very safe driver, even when he can go relatively fast.

The Panthers linebacker drove the pace car during Saturday’s Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and thanks to scanner traffic released by NASCAR, it appears a couple drivers thought the pace was too slow.

At the beginning of the video below, you can hear Carl Edwards complaining about Kuechly’s speed. The spotter for Edwards also mentions the 18 car, driven by Kyle Busch. And considering Busch doesn’t care much for a speed limit on normal roads, it’s not really a surprise he’d whine about a guy taking it easy on the track.

Maybe he should have had some practice runs, or better  yet pad these guys up and let them run thru the gantlet. I think their tune would change.
