Panthers fans who enjoy the roller coaster ride of a football season have a chance to win a sneak peak on one of the biggest amusement park rides in the Southeast.

Carowinds will debut Fury 325, its newest ride and the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster when it officially opens March 28. But the park has teamed with the Cam Newton Foundation to set up an online auction for folks who want to be among the first to try out the ride.

From now until Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m. (EST), thrill-seekers can bid at www.carowinds.com for one of 96 rides available for the private event on March 25. Each auction winner will get a Fury 325 t-shirt and hat, and the top 12 bids will receive a football autographed by Newton.

“I’ve battled some beasts on the field like massive 300-pound linemen, but this roller coaster is somewhat intimidating,” Newton joked in a release announcing the auction. “On a more serious note, I love that Carowinds will take something that’s going to be one of the best parts of summer and use it to help kids get a good education and be physically fit.”

Carowinds will donate 100% of the auction proceeds to the Cam Newton Foundation.
