Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has long been adverse to social media, but his dormant Twitter account revved up Thursday. After more standard tweets followed, many assumed Newton was not actually the one doing the tweeting.

We’ve been told to expect an uptick in posts to his Instagram posts as well, and Monday, Newton posted this video to assure fans he is involved in the accounts.

Newton followed that up Tuesday by sharing news that he is out of his walking boot after undergoing offseason ankle surgery. And of course, a good media outlet always needs to have its sponsors.
