Cameron Artis-Payne Arrested For Speeding, Reckless Driving

A little more than 24 hours before Panthers players were scheduled to gather for the start of offseason workouts, their well-behaved offseason ended.

According to North Carolina Highway Patrol, running back Cameron Artis-Payne was arrested early Sunday morning after he was allegedly driving 102 mph in a 65 mph zone on I-85 in Gaston County.

Artis-Payne, who was charged with speeding and reckless driving, was returning to Charlotte after hosting a football camp Saturday in Auburn. He was taken to Gaston County Jail and released with an unsecured $5,000 bond.

The Panthers begin offseason workouts Monday at Bank of America Stadium.
