Falcons May Be Elixir for Panthers, Cam Newton’s Pain

Cam Newton is hurt, unless he isn’t.Throughout this season, the Panthers quarterback hasn’t looked like the guy that used to run past and away from defenders. He appeared especially less elusive Monday night against the Eagles. After that blowout loss, a FOX Sports report said Newton had a right foot injury in addition to soreness in his surgically repaired left ankle and in the ribs he cracked during the preseason. Head coach Ron Rivera refuted the report Tuesday. On Wednesday, Newton acknowledged he’s not well, but he denied he’s dealing with any extra injuries.“If you’re asking me am I hurt right now, yeah, I’m hurt. I haven’t felt 100 percent in a long time,” Newton said. “But is that going to hinder anything, or be an excuse of why we’re on a losing streak? No, absolutely not.”

Philly can’t catch a cold. I just don’t know what’s wrong with that dude. The balls are hitting him right in the hands and he just can’t catch them. Maybe he needs to see a sports psychologist or something…

So “Mixed WR Results” = Philly can’t catch just like Corey couldn’t. Got it

Philly is garbage. Give Norwood a shot.

The Panthers may wish they had made the deal the Cowboys made today. They traded a 2016 6th round pick to the Raiders for their 2013 7th round pick (#209), WR Brice Butler. Butler (6’3 1/3″, 214)) had a great Pro Day, running a 4.36-40 (only missing the top 10% for WR’s by 1/100th of a second), 1.54-10, 6.62-3 cone (in the top 10% for WR’s over the last 10 years), 39″ vertical (1/2″ out of the top 10%), and a 10’9″ broad jump (in the top 10% by 2 inches).

Butler was a CB until his senior year in college, when he outgrew the position. This this lack of college WR experience, combined with the Raiders poor QB play had slowed his development a little, but if he now gets playing time with Cowboys QB Tony Romo, his career could explode.

I think you guys are rite, Philly or Corey or whatever he wants to be called seems shell shocked. I would be seriously consider cutting him, we can use Cotchery, Dixon, and Web and work Norwood and Funchess into the rotation and bring Burson back, at least he catches the ball, Philly seems scared.
