Bulk Up, Son
At least Jeremy Cash is under no illusions about his transition from college safety to NFL linebacker.
“I don’t know if you look at me, but if you look at the sizes of other people that typically play the position, that’s going to be a lot different,” Cash admitted.
The ACC Player of the Year for Duke currently weighs about 210 pounds, 26 pounds lighter than the average weight of the eight other linebackers on the roster. Not only does Cash have to bulk up, but he also has to get used to his new number.
“It’s not 16, I can tell you that much,” he said while looking down at the No. 57 on his jersey. “But it’s a great number. The number doesn’t make the player; the player makes the number.”
