  • QB Cam Newton — A few read-option plays again; still hasn’t taken off full bore.
  • WR Brenton Bersin — Has been quiet lately, not in-danger-of-not-making-the-roster-quiet, but not at involved as he had been.
  • WR Tiquan Underwood — During a team drill with the ones, made catch on first play, had a drop on the second.
  • WR Kelvin Benjamin — Dominant day; rinse, repeat.
  • WR Philly Brown — Picked up where he left off after sitting out Sunday with a tight hamstring.
  • CB Josh Thomas — Yapped a good bit at Marcus Lucas during WR/CB one-on-ones. Rookie handled it well.
  • CB Josh Norman — Also spent some of the day talking, but backed up his talk with another solid practice that included an interception during 7-on-7s.
  • RB Jonathan Stewart — First practice in pads since week of playoff game.
  • CB Bené Benwikere — During one play in coverage, blanketed Benjamin, forcing Newton to look at another option.
  • S Anderson Russell — Played a decent amount with the ones. Has had a good camp, but his size may hold him back from a roster spot.
  • RB Darrin Reaves — Tried to fight through knee injury he suffered Friday night; ended up under tent with ice on knee; will be held out a few days.
  • S Roman Harper — Remains out with toe injury; did some work on the side after practice.
  • T David Foucault — Quebec native broke down team huddle in French, of course; has likely impressed enough to be stashed somewhere.
  • T Garry Williams — Replaced Byron Bell at LT for final team drills.
  • T Byron Bell — Sat out last part of practice with patella tendinitis; appears to be closer to locking up LT job.
  • T Nate Chandler — Returned to RT after resting knee Sunday.
  • WR Jerricho Cotchery — Slow to get up after catching deep touchdown pass against CB Antoine Cason; seemed like he had wind knocked out of him.
  • TE Ed Dickson — After drill against TE Brandon Williams exclaimed, “Man, he got that death grip!”
  • TE Mike McNeill — Head coach Ron Rivera said his knee injury is “a pretty decent sprain.”
  • DE Frank Alexander — Still playing with the ones with DE Charles Johnson still out; coaches continue to rave about Alexander’s camp.
  • DE Kony Ealy — Spent day on stationary bike; did not have protective boot on sore left foot.
  • DE Charles Johnson — Did a bunch of work on the side; could be close to returning from hamstring injury.
  • DE Mario Addison — Along with G Derek Dennis, missed practice with flu currently going around.

What happened to Marcus Lucas? Why don't we have any news on him...

Is the Panthers Organization trying to hide him or so?

I can guarantee some team will snag him in a fly. It will be a huge mistakes on the panthers if they don't select him to make the 53 man roster. You can't COACH his dimensions very close to Benjamin.

If the Panthers are thinking of hiding him in the Practice Squad. No it won't happen, some team will snag him pretty quickly, let's hope it's not any of our NFC rivals that will be hard pill to swallow

As far as I could tell, he had a bad showing against the Bills.

No flashes that I can remember, and more notably he was the last Panther to touch the ball during a possible game winning drive where it seemed all momentum was on our side Friday night as he juggled it into the air allowing for the game winning interception, thus sucking all the air out of the stadium.

He is young, and when something like that happens you want to come into practice all next week snatching everything. Which, evidenced t by the video, he failed to do.

He needs to step up if he is wanting to have a roster spot.
