Cardinals QB Carson Palmer
RE: How they will assess the game
“It’s tough to answer that right now, but there is nothing like adversity to fuel the fire … Staring over at that sideline and that feeling that the other team has, that’s going to stick with me for probably the rest of my life.”
RE: If they should have scored after Patrick Peterson’s interception
“Yeah, like I said, I kept digging us in a hole that we just couldn’t come out of.”
RE: His interceptions
“I was definitely forcing it, and like I said, I put us in that hole.”
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald
RE: Carson said he was definitely pressing today. What does that do to an offense?
“Well, I’m the same way. I was pressing, too. You get to this position as an older guy, you know the window of opportunity is closing on you. You put the time in, you put so much effort in – the film study, all of that, all the things you do, and sometimes you forget just to take a deep breath and do what you’ve done your entire career. So I can definitely understand where he’s coming from with that position. You put so much pressure on yourself.”
RE: What hurts the most?
“I think just the performance. If we would have lost in a shootout, if it was a close game and came down to the wire, they beat us on some play, it would hurt, but we just didn’t have it today and that really stings.”
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians
RE: Opening statement
“Carson didn’t lose the damn game. Nothing wrong with his damn finger. You can keep all them questions. We just didn’t play well enough. Our best players especially didn’t play well enough.”
RE: Secondary
“Secondary was poor. We gave up way too many big plays and Justin (Bethel) had a rough game again, but he’s going to get better. He’s a young player. Look forward to his growth next year.”
RE: Larry Fitzgerald’s play
“We couldn’t get it to him a few times and it was unusual for him to drop a couple. It was just some things we didn’t do. I didn’t do a very good job of getting him open.”
