Hundreds of fans will be on top of the latest Wi-Fi enhancements at Bank of America Stadium. Literally.
The Carolina Panthers on Tuesday will update local media on this offseason's improvements, which include upper-level concourse renovations. But the headliner is what fans can expect from their wireless connection when 70-thousand others attempt to use the same pipes.
The Panthers' speedier service features more than 1,200 access points, most of which were installed under seats. The enhanced technology has been a big hit in the Bay Area at AT&T Park and Levi's Stadium. Dallas' AT&T Stadium and Texas A&M's Kyle Field also use the AmpThink system.
