Panthers receiver Philly Brown said Wednesday his injured shoulder continues to get better, but the clock continues to tick on his availability for Saturday’s Divisional playoff against the Seahawks.Brown hasn’t practiced since he subluxated his shoulder late in the second quarter of Sunday’s Wild Card win over Arizona. Asked if he thought he might be able to make it back in time to play in Seattle, Brown answered, “I hope so.”Coach Ron Rivera said Brown caught some passes on the side Wednesday, and the next step is to see if he can block. If the rookie speedster doesn’t play, Brenton Bersin will move up to the No. 3 spot and the Panthers could fill Brown’s stretch-the-field role with quarterback/receiver Joe Webb.Rivera also admitted coaches are considering promoting receiver Stephen Hill. Signed to the Panthers’ practice squad in early September, Hill hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since Dec. 1, 2013 when he was with the Jets.
