When many were likely grumbling at work on a Monday morning, Carolina Panthers special teams coordinator Bruce DeHaven was happily sweating through the job he’s held for nearly three decades.

Now in his 29th year as an NFL special teams coach, DeHaven is addicted to teaching. And it’s his unique positivity that not only helps him enjoy nearly every day on the job, but it’s also guiding him through the biggest fight of his life.
