Panthers CB Josh Norman
RE: Regaining ‘swagger’
“We came out and got back to what we do. Put hands on people. That’s what we got back to doing as a defense. Like I said before, come Sunday you’ll find out.”
RE: Why does it seem you’re upset?
“I’m happy but I’m just a perfectionist. I work so hard during the entire game and to let one slip by me. To work so hard you want some justification and gratification for your hard. To end up letting one slip from me. I’m beating myself up about it, but I’m happy we got the win. [Mike Evans] is a good talent and we were able to create some problems with him.”
RE: What was going on with you and Evans?
“A peasant throwing rocks at a giant. That’s what happened. He was throwing rocks at a giant and things happen and he obviously saw. I don’t think he was ready for the matchup. I think I was more ready than him. Overall, it was a team effort. The defense came out and put down the pressure early. I think the first play of the game. I was coming out there and trying to be easy and he activated me on the second play.”
RE: What happened between you and him heading into halftime?
“I don’t know. I guess he couldn’t control his emotions. I guess it got the best of him at the end of the day.”
RE: Getting into a WR’s head
“I guess it takes them out of the game. I’ve been battle tested in that. I guess we’ll see who wins at the end of the day. If guys want to do that then we can go there. We’ll see who comes out at the end and I think we had an overall success rate as a defensive unit against him. We were able to minimize what they like to do and came out here and got a win. We’re 15-1 so whatever.”
