An ankle injury will keep Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil out of Monday night's game against the Colts. It'll be his first missed game since 2012 when his season was cut short after five weeks because of a Lisfranc injury.

Kalil was listed as doubtful coming into Monday night, so his place on the inactive list isn't much of a surprise. The four-time Pro Bowler will be replaced in the starting lineup by versatile Fernando Velasco, who started seven games at guard for the Panthers last year. He signed with the Titans this offseason but didn't make the roster. He then resigned in Carolina in Week 2.
