You'd think the biggest storyline coming out of one of the Panthers' worst performances in recent memory would be how badly they played.

But the 40-7 loss to the Seahawks will be remembered more for what quarterback Cam Newton didn't wear Saturday on the team's flight from San Jose to Seattle.
