Carolina Panthers News and Coverage for the Digital Age

WATCH: Panthers Grant Another Wish

The Carolina Panthers were over their roster limit during Tuesday's OTA practice. Hopefully the NFL won't mind.

Parker Cowherd, a 7-year-old from Cornelius, became the team's 91st player when he signed a contract with general manager Dave Gettleman in the morning.

Parker's signing bonus? A basket of candy.

The negotiations were the latest connection in a string of connections between the Panthers and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in November, Parker's wish was to spend a day playing with his favorite team.
