He likely won’t play in Friday’s preseason opener, but perhaps Cam Newton will take some solace as this week’s Panther Pace player?

Yeah, probably not, but Dave Baysden designed another awesome infographic, complete with Newton’s ‘Superman’ pose.

As far as the stats go, Ben Bruning found that if the Panthers quarterback keeps up his yearly pace, he’ll become the franchise leader in both passing yards and touchdowns sometime in 2016.

The NFL’s all-time records are just a bit further down the line. It would take Newton another 16 seasons of passing at the same clip to break the league’s yardage mark, and to jump into the top three in touchdowns.

August 1: Panther Pace, DE Charles Johnson
July 25: Panther Pace, TE Greg Olsen

Nice graphic and fun read. pYDs pace will increase starting this year or next, but rTD pace will definitely slow while pTD pace could see an up tic.
