Panthers defensive end Frank Alexander, who violated the NFL’s substance abuse policy this summer, was reinstated by the NFL on Monday. Here are five things you need to know about what that means for Alexander and the Panthers.

  1. Alexander, who was allowed to work out at team facilities during his four-game suspension, can now practice with the team.
  2. Even though he’s reinstated, it doesn’t mean he’ll play Sunday against the Bears.

Because …

3.    He’s not currently on the 53-man roster.

4.    The Panthers have seven days to move him to the active roster.

5.    If they do, they’ll have to make a corresponding move to make room.

BlackBlueReview With Ogbonnya signing would we move a RB back to the Practice Squad?  If so, which is more likely, Reaves or Poole?

Poole. Reaves is starting from what I’ve read.

I don’t see how they would not put him on 53 and then suit him Sunday. He is their 2nd best available DE. #DONEDEAL

that’s IF they don’t just put Og on practice squad, which makes sense considering he was just signed
