Crowder, who former Panthers scout Bucky Brooks has compared to Steelers Pro Bowl wideout Antonio Brown, showed off his impressive quickness and sure hands on both intermediate and deep routes. But while Crowder was the buzz of the first practice here in Mobile, it was just one practice with three months to go before the draft.“Tomorrow’s a new day. That’s the thing that I realized just from playing college ball. Some days you have really good days, and then some things can kind of go south,” Crowder said Tuesday night. “You’ve got to stay level headed.”During his four years at Duke, Crowder tied former Blue Devil Conner Vernon for most career receptions in the ACC (283) and piled up the third-most receiving yards (3,641) in conference history. He also helped make Durham a more desirable place to play college football than what it had been before he got there.A native of Monroe, N.C., Crowder was recruited by schools all over the Carolinas, but he was eventually won over by Duke head coach David Cutcliffe.”A lot of people back home were like, ‘You’re going to Duke?'” Crowder recalled. “It was just something that I felt about Coach Cut and his staff when they recruited me. I just felt really comfortable with them.”Cutcliffe was in the fourth season of his Duke football revitalization project when Crowder arrived as a freshman in 2011. That year, the Blue Devils went 3-9. Then they 6-7, 10-4 and 9-4.Coming into the Senior Bowl, Crowder was projected as a mid-round pick. More showings like Tuesday could help his stock rise, but the big knock on him will continue to be his size, and while he’s quick, he’s not blazing fast. Crowder has potential to be dangerous as a slot receiver, though, and he returned four punts for touchdowns during his last two years at Duke.“Explosive. Playmaker,” Crowder said, when asked to describe himself as a returner. “Any time I can get the football in space, that’s when I’m in my comfort zone.”And for one day, at least, Crowder found plenty of space and comfort in Mobile.[vc_row_inner no_margin=”true” padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px” border=”none”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][vc_raw_html]JTNDYmxvY2txdW90ZSUyMGNsYXNzJTNEJTIydHdpdHRlci10d2VldCUyMiUyMGxhbmclM0QlMjJlbiUyMiUzRSUzQ3AlM0VSZWFsbHklMjBpbXByZXNzZWQlMjB3aXRoJTIwSmFtaXNvbiUyMENyb3dkZXIuJTIwRXhwbG9zaXZlJTJDJTIwcXVpY2slMjBmZWV0LiUyMENvdWxkJTIwYmUlMjBhJTIwbmlnaHRtYXJlJTIwaW4lMjB0aGUlMjBzbG90JTIwYW5kJTIwcmV0dXJuaW5nLiUzQyUyRnAlM0UlMjZtZGFzaCUzQiUyME1hdHQlMjBNaWxsZXIlMjAlMjglNDBuZmxkcmFmdHNjb3V0JTI5JTIwJTNDYSUyMGhyZWYlM0QlMjJodHRwcyUzQSUyRiUyRnR3aXR0ZXIuY29tJTJGbmZsZHJhZnRzY291dCUyRnN0YXR1cyUyRjU1NzYyNjI3OTcwMTUyODU3NiUyMiUzRUphbnVhcnklMjAyMCUyQyUyMDIwMTUlM0MlMkZhJTNFJTNDJTJGYmxvY2txdW90ZSUzRSUwQSUzQ3NjcmlwdCUyMGFzeW5jJTIwc3JjJTNEJTIyJTJGJTJGcGxhdGZvcm0udHdpdHRlci5jb20lMkZ3aWRnZXRzLmpzJTIyJTIwY2hhcnNldCUzRCUyMnV0Zi04JTIyJTNFJTNDJTJGc2NyaXB0JTNF[/vc_raw_html][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html]

Jholt915 I think he’s a perfect fit, I would get that jersey made.

Jholt915 agreed. We would actually have a threat back there.

Crowder is a good player, but is a 5’8 1/8″ WR really a good fit for a team who’s QB often over throws his receivers?

If he’s really like Brandin Cook we really need to snatch him up come the draft hopefully he’s available in 2nd round. 1st round need is linemen.

I’d rather get Dorsett, he’s probably the fastest player in the draft, runs great routs, with effortless speed, and fast cuts. He’ 1 1/2″ taller, with 3/4″ longer arms, and 3/4″ bigger hands. CBSSports.com currently projects Dorsett as the #134 pick, but that was before the Senior Bowl. I think the Panthers would be very lucky if Dorsett is still available for them in the 2nd round.

Why are we really so negative of Cam. He can do well with any of these players. Small or tall.WR Jamison Crowder or Dorsett would solve the teams need for a dynamic returner. Anderson is a possible selection at DE. There are some upgrades at OT The Panthers just need to finish the total process and not worry about problems the haven’t manifested themselves yet.
