Whelp, the Falcon are certainly getting their revenge today. They always say you should wait until the first 4 games of the season are complete to know what kind of team you have and to that end it’s time to face the reality that the Panthers are a bad team. The offense has been bad in its own ways all year so far, but the defense doesn’t even have the excuses from Wk 1 and Wk 3 (that they inherited terrible field position owing to the offense’s turnovers) to lean on this week. The defense has been completely outmatched and woefully under-prepared to play today; two marches down the field of 98 and 99 yards. Basically being manhandled by two offensive weapons. Unreal. SMH…
Maybe the so-called SB hangover is real. Maybe the parity in the NFL year-to-year is grossly understated. Maybe the book is simply out on how to beat the Panthers now (this is the one I favor). Maybe it’s something altogether different. Either way, this team is not getting better, it’s getting worse…
At this point, I would seriously consider pulling as many top-line players from the game as possible, to get as much experience in a real NFL game for younger/depth players as possible, and reduce the risk of injury in the now-meaningless remainder of this game. This has been a dumpster fire from almost the opening kick…
