DAVIS WINS BART STARR AWARD

Even if the Panthers don’t make the Super Bowl, linebacker Thomas Davis will be in the Bay Area that week.

The reigning Walter Payton Man of the Year has picked up another ‘good guy’ nod by winning The Bart Starr Award. Both honors go to “a player who exemplifies character and leadership on and off the field.”

Davis will accept the award on the Saturday before Super Bowl 50 during a breakfast ceremony in San Francisco.
