Lotulelei had surgery Wednesday morning, and there’s a chance he could return if the Panthers advance to the Super Bowl. But to do that, they have to beat the Seahawks, and either the Packers or Cowboys in the NFC Championship, without their 2013 first-round draft pick.”It’s a [big] loss, but we’re very fortunate because of our defensive line situation. We feel very confident about the guys that are going to step up and get opportunities to play,” Rivera said.Defensive tackle Colin Cole is expected to get the first reps in place of Lotulelei on Saturday. Cole started 10 games this season, including the two Lotulelei missed after he sprained an ankle in Week 10.
