Wednesday’s Panthers Injury News

Because they’re playing Monday night, the Carolina Panthers don’t have to submit an official injury report until Thursday. Here’s a look at who did and didn’t practice Wednesday:

PRACTICED

OT Daryl Williams (knee)

Six weeks after playing just one snap in the season opener, the fourth-round pick is back. “He moved around very nicely,” coach Ron Rivera said. “Hopefully it’ll be just a matter of time before he’s ready to roll.” While Williams missed five games, it’s not like he hasn’t been around. “I still went to every meeting and every meeting before a meeting,” he said. “That helped out a lot.”

WORKED ON THE SIDE

LB Shaq Thompson (knee)

While Rivera said Thompson went through some individual work, he wasn’t in pads. The hope is he can put those back on for Thursday’s practice.

DT Dwan Edwards (ankle)

Still has a noticeable limp after suffering his injury in the first half of the Seattle game. Appears more week-to-week than day-to-day.

DE Mario Addison (shoulder)

Wasn’t out on the practice fields. His arm is currently in a sling and he’ll miss this week, at least.

RT Mike Remmers (elbow)

Trainers were looking at his elbow during Sunday’s win over the Eagles, but Remmers didn’t miss a snap. He’ll likely practice Thursday.

C Ryan Kalil (ankle)

He wasn’t out on the practice fields because of an ankle tweak. It’s not a big deal.

BONUS

DE Charles Johnson (hamstring)

He worked on the side for the first time since he went on the injured reserve/designated to return list. The earliest he can come back is against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, but he’s obviously making good progress.
