Panthers LB Thomas Davis
RE: Coach Rivera admitted 15-1 was a bit of a surprise. Is it to you?
“The sky is the limit for us and we’ve proven it all season long. Througout the season people continue to doubt us and continue to say we can’t do this and haven’t played this. But now we’re 15-1 to end the regular season and the playoffs have to come through Carolina and that’s a great feeling.”
RE: Securing home field advantage
“It definitely feels good to have the home seed, knowing that the NFC Championship has to come through Carolina, but at the same time we have a lot of unfinished business, a lot of work we have to do.”
Panthers TE Greg Olsen
RE: Winning 11 straight home games
“A lot of credit goes to our fans. We’ve felt them all season out in public and in the stadium. The vibe in this city right now is pretty incredible. It’s the best I’ve ever felt it.”
RE: Achieving this season’s goals
“When you start talking about what your season goals are, winning the division, making the playoffs step one, getting the first round bye and then clinching home field. So, we’ve pretty much checked off every box for the team goals that we’ve set out for this year and we’re two wins away from the Super Bowl. It’s a pretty special season so far.”
Panthers C Ryan Kalil
RE: Fan support
“The energy has been incredible all season long and this season has been so special for this entire city, this entire community. I mean all around the Carolinas, it’s incredible what a game and what a sports team can do for everyone. It’s fun and they’ve been behind us all year long and we’re glad we can give this to them. But we’re not done yet.”
Panthers WR Jerricho Cotchery
RE: What it means to be 15-1
“We worked extremely hard to get to this point. We’ve laid a lot of bricks along the way so our foundation is very strong right now. Everyone has goals coming into the year of what they want to achieve as a team, but the adversity of a season will reveal what you really are and we’re 15-1.”
