Stewart, Coleman, Kalil Miss Wednesday Practice

The Carolina Panthers had an early wakeup call Wednesday as they practiced two and a half hours earlier than normal. The team's routine was interrupted by the Belk Bowl's scheduled 3:30 kickoff at Bank of America Stadium.

A light mist met the Panthers while they walked out to practice at 8:30, but rain picked up throughout the morning and kept a couple important guys inside.

WEDNESDAY PRACTICE REPORTS

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Did not practice

RB Jonathan Stewart (foot): Panthers weren't going to risk putting him out there. Coach Ron Rivera is still hopeful Stewart will return Sunday, but right now, he's "questionable."

S Kurt Coleman (foot): As Rivera said, any guy with a knee, ankle or foot issue wasn't going to practice on the wet field. Coleman still has a decent chance to face the Bucs.

C Ryan Kalil (illness): Battling a stomach bug. No real concern he'll miss Sunday.

WR Ted Ginn (knee): Didn't have a helmet, but went through some light installation periods. Expected to play Sunday.

RB Fozzy Whittaker (ankle): Out at least this week.

FULL

LB David Mayo (hamstring): Inching closer to a return after missing the past two games.
