Dozens of vehicles turned heads Saturday at The Ultimate Queen City Car & Bike Show, but the two centerpieces just so happened to be conveniently parked next to each other.
On the left was a Carolina Panthers-themed 1975 Chevy Caprice convertible. On the right, a gold-plated 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass.
That car's owner — Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton — is on the West Coast this weekend, but the Chevy's owner was more than happy to show off his latest custom ride. Linebacker Thomas Davis hosted the event, raising money and awareness for his Defending Dreams Foundation. He also played guest correspondent:
The gold is tacky and the teal is tacky but since Davis’ interior is much goofier than Cam’s, I’m going with the ’70 for this.
