Weekend Roundup: Cam & Kids Go Viral, Norman Talks, Kalil Can’t Decide

Carolina Panthers-related news and nuggets from around the web this weekend.

As I was packing up to head off to the Jimmy Buffett show in Charlotte on Saturday, I overheard my neighbor as she was on the phone.

"And ESPN's called, too?"

It's been a wild weekend for Mimi Siadak, a seventh-grade teacher at the Community School of Davidson. Students in her class got the surprise of their young lives Friday when Panthers quarterback Cam Newton made a pit stop while filming his Nickelodeon show at Davidson College.

Since then, pictures and video of Newton's impromptu visit have gone viral, and my neighbor is still in shock.

"I can't believe he did that," she told me. "It was just so nice of him."

That time #camnewton stopped by our K-7 just to have a catch! #TheShieldOurStories #keeppounding #carolinapanthers

Did the Panthers possibly start a new trend by how they handled the Josh Norman situation? [SI]

Norman "got sideswiped" (apologies for the horribly annoying auto-play video):

Before Steph Curry was hurt on Sunday, he visited the Astros on Friday:

An honor to chop it up with the humble #MVP @stephencurry30 who is also a @panthers fan just like me. Thanks for the love and best of luck #Champ one of the best ever. #stephcurry #chef #Curry #73 #Respect God Bless. #3Sports1Pic #MLB #NBA #NFL
