“It sucked really bad. I was very, very frustrated. I didn’t understand it at the time. But it was one of those things that coaches felt they wanted to go with, and I just had to accept it and play my role on special teams and battle my ass off. I took it personal, and I went out there on special teams and tried to defend what I had to defend.”

“I don’t think anyone’s going to mistake him for Cam, but having said that, I think he’s got much more mobility than people would imagine when they look at him. He’s a very good athlete. He’s a big, strong guy, and obviously from an arm-talent standpoint he’s very good, he’s very talented. But I think he’s a better athlete than people give him credit for.”

“No, they wouldn’t let me.”

“This has been a different year, a tough year. It’s been very interesting for us as a football team and as an organization. But it’s one of those things that we’ll get stronger from. A lot of things came up that we’ve never known how to deal with, now we know how to deal with. It’s brought to light some social issues that we, not just as a football team or organization, but as a society, we need to deal with. That’s what this year is all about. So it’s been a great, tremendous learning experience, and we’ll get stronger from it and we’ll better from it.”
