The Carolina Panthers reached the NFL’s mandatory 75-man roster limit Tuesday with eight transactions:
Waived
- WR Jarrett Boykin: The biggest surprise in this round of cuts.
- DT Kenny Horsley: Was added shortly before Spartanburg to be a camp body.
- S Robert Lester: After starting four games as an undrafted rookie, was cut twice and was active just once in 2014.
- WR/CB De’Andre Presley: Panthers could have kept him on PUP through start of season, but decided to cut ties.
Waived/Injured
- OT Davonte Wallace: Dealing with a serious concussion.
- CB Melvin White: Former starter was very much on bubble and then tweaked hamstring against Patriots.
Waived/Injury Settlement
- DT Micanor Regis: Injured quad last week.
Injured Reserve
- WR Kelvin Benjamin
After making 15 moves since Sunday, the Panthers have four days to make 22 more. Teams then have until 4 p.m. Saturday to shave their rosters to the 53-man limit.[line]
