The Carolina Panthers switched up their schedule this week, extending their mini-bye weekend through Monday. So instead of their usual day off on Tuesday, they were out on the practice field.
As has been the case the past month, the first practice of the week was mostly a walk-thru full of installation periods.
The team isn't required to release an injury report until Wednesday, but there are four guys to keep an eye on ahead of Sunday's game with the Saints:
DT Star Lotulelei (ankle)
Shed the walking boot he was in on Friday to put in some work with trainers on the side. Later, in the locker room, declared he'll be good to go.
WR Philly Brown (shoulder)
May have been able to play against the Cowboys, but the Panthers wanted to be cautious. Coach Ron Rivera admitted he's confident Brown will be on the field in New Orleans.
DE Mario Addison (ankle)
Appears very iffy for this week. Wasn't on the practice field and then limped around the locker room in a boot.
CB Charles Tillman (knee)
Has told multiple media outlets he's hoping to play, but according to a source, the best case for Tillman is he'll be back by the end of the season.
