Webb will start season on roster … Matt Blanchard off the rankings and onto IR.

  1. DeAngelo Williams
  2. Jonathan Stewart
  3. Mike Tolbert
  4. Fozzy Whittaker
  5. Darrin Reaves

No changes … Whittaker can seal a spot Thursday … Reaves again appears like an IR stash.

No changes.

  1. Kelvin Benjamin
  2. Jerricho Cotchery
  3. Jason Avant
  4. Brenton Bersin
  5. Philly Brown
  6. Tavarres King
  7. Marcus Lucas (9)

Kealoha Pilares, Tiquan Underwood, Marvin McNutt and Toney Clemons off the list and onto waivers … King should be on roster Saturday, but that doesn’t guarantee longterm … Lucas worth a practice squad spot.

  1. Greg Olsen
  2. Ed Dickson
  3. Brandon Williams
  4. Richie Brockel
  5. Mike McNeill

McNeill’s knee may not allow him to play in preseason finale; IR or release highly likely … D.C. Jefferson was waived/injured and is now on IR.

  1. Byron Bell

  4. Chase Blackburn
  5. Jason Williams
  6. D.J. Smith
  7. Ben Jacobs
  8. Adarius Glanton
  9. Denicos Allen

This is one of the more interesting positions ahead of finals cuts … Smith will make the 53-man roster as long as he doesn’t have an awful game against the Steelers … practice squad could await Glanton or Allen.

  1. Antoine Cason
  2. Melvin White
  3. Josh Norman
  4. Josh Thomas
  5. James Dockery
  6. Carrington Byndom

Byndom may be kept around on the practice squad.

Nickelbacks

  1. Bené Benwikere (2)
  2. Charles Godfrey (1)

The rookie has a good shot to start the season as the No. 1 nickel corner.

  1. Thomas DeCoud
  2. Roman Harper
  3. Colin Jones (5)
  4. Anderson Russell (3)
  5. Tre Boston (7)
  6. Robert Lester (4)

With Kealoha Pilares and Tiquan Underwood gone, it’s the Philly and Fozzy show — for now.

No changes.

Only PS even though you have him at 4?

  • pancanbra

Couple questions Bill.  What are Zordich’s chances at making the final roster?  He’s looked pretty good from the limited time I’ve seen him play.  Any chance Byndom jumps Thomas and Dockery for a spot on the roster?  I feel like he has more talent than they do.  And finally, would a good game 4 out of Boston give him a spot on the 53?

  • billvoth

jleonard247 yes, he’s not ready to play in a regular season NFL game. he’s a project who’s gotten off to a good start.

  • billvoth

pancanbra Zordich MAY be on roster saturday, but probably not. if he is, he may not last long. hasn’t had a great preseason. Byndom may only pass those guys in relation to being with the organization. Carrington is practice squad at best. Boston is a really tricky situation, he may be able to stick … IR stash doesn’t seem as obvious if he’s going to play tonight.

I see. Well hopefully a waiver wire pickup is on the horizon as if he is beating out the others then I have zero faith in them. Want to take a guess at who may be available after final cuts from other teams that would be an upgrade?
