RE: His second-quarter injury
“I just got it caught under me and folded me back. My foot never came out, so it got bent back a little bit. It’s a little sore and stuff, but I think I’ll be alright.”

RE: Initial worry it could be worse?
“That might be the only time I’ve ever had to have the trainers come out on the field. Anytime it’s your knees or anything like that, it’s concerning, but after the initial little bit it started settling down and I stood up on it. That’s when I knew I was going to be alright and that it wasn’t anything bad, so I’ll be good.”

RE: Sitting out the second half
“I could have gone back in if it was a close game. When I came out for the second half, I felt alright. With the score being what it was, coach and Ryan Vermillion said it wasn’t worth it, but stay loose in case anything happens.”
