There will be plenty of talent gathered in Mobile next week, but the Senior Bowl is just one part of the draft process. A handful of guys look like future stars or potential diamonds in the rough, but that rough isn’t easy to sift through.

Over the past five years, the Panthers have drafted 11 guys who have played in the Senior Bowl. Three are still on the roster, two are starters, and none were drafted last year.

2014: None
2013: DT Kawann Short, RB Kenjon Barner
2012: CB Josh Norman, WR Joe Adams, P Brad Nortman
2011: DT Sione Fua, DT Terrell McClain, LB Lawrence Wilson, OT Lee Ziemba
2010: LB Eric Norwood, QB Tony Pike

Its pretty hard to translate collegic success to NFL proficiency, let alone success.
