
The last time the Panthers played in Cincinnati, Luke Kuechly was just a sophomore at St. Xavier High School. Eight years later, the linebacker will return to face his hometown Bengals as the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Ahead of this weekend’s matchup, Kuechly’s high school coach joined WFNZ’s “Primetime” on Tuesday night to go down memory lane. St. Xavier’s Steve Specht shared some great stories, from his days teaching Kuechly in oral communication to why tears flowed during his final high school game.
