The Panthers:

  • Have lost consecutive games for the first time since the first two weeks of 2013.
  • Gave up at least 35 points in back-to-back games for just the second time in their history (37 vs. GB on 9/27/98 and 51 vs. ATL on 10/4/98).
  • Gave up more than 400 yards for the second consecutive game. Only once did an opponent gain more than 400 yards against them in 2013 (Buffalo).
  • Haven’t had a sack in more than seven quarters. Their last one came when DE Mario Addison brought down Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger with 1:31 left in the first quarter last week.
  • Haven’t had a take-away since K Graham Gano recovered a fumble midway through the fourth quarter against the Lions in Week 2.
  • Have a -3 turnover margin the last two weeks. They were +6 after wins against the Bucs and Lions.
  • Allowed the Ravens to convert three of their four red zone trips into touchdowns. The Steelers were 2-for-3 in the red zone last week.
  • Led time of possession 11:05 to 3:55 after the first quarter. In the final three quarters, the Ravens had a 26:19 to 18:31 time of possession advantage.
  • Have rushed for less than 100 yards in three straight games for the first time since Weeks 6-8 of 2006.

The Ravens:

  • Set a franchise record with a 76.9 percent third-down conversion rate (10-of-13).

Panthers QB Cam Newton:

  • Has gone at least three games without an interception for the third time in his career.
  • Had just two carries, which ties a career low he set last week against the Steelers. In Week 2, he tied his previous career low with four carries.
  • Has 33 rushing yards in three games. In 48 regular-season games before 2014, he rushed for more than 33 yards 32 times.
  • Has rushed eight times this season. He had eight carries or more in 17 of his 48 games before 2014.

Panthers RB Tauren Poole:

  • Lost a fumble on his first and only NFL carry.

Panthers DE Charles Johnson:

  • Has gone four straight games in a single season without a sack for only the second time since 2009.

Panthers LB Luke Kuechly:

  • Has double-digit tackles in three straight games for the first time since Weeks 5-11 of 2012.

Panthers LB A.J. Klein:

  • Had a career-high seven tackles.

Panthers CB Josh Norman:

  • Had six tackles, his most since he had seven in a 30-22 win over the Eagles on 11/26/12.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco:

  • Set a Ravens record with a 137.4 passer rating.
  • Won his 41st regular-season home game, the most among active QBs since Flacco came into the league in 2008.

Ravens WR Steve Smith:

  • Scored two touchdowns in a game for the first time since a 28-21 loss to Arizona on 9/11/11, which was also his first game with Newton.
  • Had his most receiving yards (139) since a 143-yard performance in a 33-20 win over the Redskins on 10/23/11.
  • Had his third 100-yard receiving game in four weeks with the Ravens.
  • Became the oldest player to record 400 receiving yards in a season’s first four games. Smith (429 yards; 35 years, 139 days) passed former Colts receiver Marvin Harrison (413 yards; 34 years, 37 days) and former Bills wideout Frank Lewis (409 yards; 34 years, 85 days).
